Santa Cruz have introduced two new full-suspension mountain bikes to their range – the Butcher all-mountain rig and Nickel trail bike. Both feature an all-new suspension system called Actual Pivot Point (APP).
Santa Cruz say this name “came about as a spoof on Virtual Pivot Point, and was used in joking reference to our single pivot bikes when we first began working with VPP a decade ago".
No, this isn't an April Fool's joke, and yes, this is the official release for the new carbon fiber Santa Cruz Nomad. Do not confuse it with any of the previous, most likely inaccurate, information that has leaked already. There's a lot of ground to cover here, so we apologize in advance for the length of this email, but bear with us.
ACROS is glad to announce that the Pro-Freeride-Rider Cédric Gracia will use ACROS bike components the new season. In this case the UCI-DH-World Cup 2010 will be the most challenging way to demonstrate the high quality of the ACROS parts. This year Cédric Gracia is riding the ACROS AH-06 headset in the special CG-Design and represents ACROS around the world. ACROS is very proud to work with one of the best Pro-Rider of the world and will use this chance to optimize their products with this important feedback. ACROS wishes Cédric Gracia a successful season and we are excited about the UCI-DH-World Cup 2010.
The bread-and-butter bike that put Santa Cruz Bicycles on the map has seen major design revisions and lots of evolutionary changes. In addition to the Superlight’s refinements, the bike’s build kit options have been expanded to include the affordable $1699 complete bike that we test here.
